Рotato side dishes. A simple dish of potatoes and bacon will be an excellent dinner for the whole family!
The recipe for fried potatoes and bacon was born during my meditation on what to cook for dinner.

In the fridge was a bit of bacon, potatoes, garlic, onions in the house are always available, so it was not difficult to cook this dish. Рotato side dishes.
For this dish is suitable and raw bacon, and smoked. And to give the dish an original flavor note, I added a little lemon peel and parsley at the end of cooking.

Ingredients

Potatoes — 300 g
Bacon — 100 g
Onion — 1 pc.
Garlic — 1 tooth
Olive oil — 1,5 tbsp.
Salt and pepper — to taste

Optional:
Lemon peel — 5 g
Parsley — 5 g

Cooking process

To fry potatoes with bacon faster, we will immediately prepare all the products on the list. Potatoes shall be washed.
We cut the bacon into thin slabs.
In a frying pan, warm up 1.5 tablespoons. olive oil and fry the bacon in the frying pan.
Potatoes peeled, cut as you prefer, I cut into thin slices.
We spread the potatoes into a frying pan to the bacon. Fry potatoes and bacon on high heat for 10 minutes. During this time, potatoes should be prevented once.
Onions are cut into half rings.
Add the onion to the frying pan. From spices we use salt and black ground pepper. The amount of spices is to taste.

I love that the onion in the dish is juicy and soft, so I fry the onions with potatoes and bacon for another 6-7 minutes, stirring, and then add 2 tablespoons. water and cover the frying pan with a lid. I reduce the fire to medium and lightly potatoes to make it tender and ready.
After that I remove the lid, add finely chopped garlic, grated lemon zest and finely chopped parsley. I mix the potatoes well, I cook another 3-4 minutes without the lid.
Fried potatoes with bacon ready!
We serve a dish with pickles or a salad of fresh vegetables.
