Why use butter in the dressing for this carrot salad? The fact is that carrot contains carotene. It turns into vitamin A in the body. Fat is necessary for its absorption. That is why in the composition of the filling is vegetable oil. Of course, in the salad there will still be walnuts (this is a fat product). Therefore, if you wish, you can remove the oil from the list. Then the finished dish will be lighter in calories, but not so juicy and tender ..

In general, there are no and there can be no exact proportions of this or that product for this vitamin salad. You can safely change the number of ingredients. Adjust to the personal preferences of each family member. We like just such a composition. You try it like this, and then cook a carrot salad for your kids, as they like most.

Orange — (1 piece)
Apple — (0.5 pieces)
Walnut — (50 grams)
Raisin — (50 grams)
Vegetable oil — (3 tablespoons)
Lemon Juice — (3 tablespoons)
Natural Honey — (1 tablespoon)
Ground cinnamon — (0.25 tsp)

Preparation of dishes in steps:

Orange (take bigger) mine. Drain. Cut off the top and bottom of the fruit. After that, cut off the peel with white foil. Then we fillet an orange. That is, using a knife, cut out every slice. In this case, the slices should be completely devoid of white streaks.

It is best to carve an orange over a deep bowl or glass. To it was going to orange juice. We will use it later as a fill for the salad. As a result, in just a couple of minutes you will have a clear orange fillet and a lot of juice. It must also be squeezed from the part of the fruit from which we cut the fillet.

Pour orange juice into a jar, squeeze lemon juice, add natural honey (melted candied sugar to a flowing state) and refined vegetable oil (I use sunflower oil).

Hermetically close the jar with a lid and actively shake it literally for 10 seconds. The result is a very tasty and flavorful dressing for our vitamin salad.

We continue to prepare the salad. Large juicy carrots clean, wash and rub on a coarse grater.
Large apple wash and dry. Cut into 2-4 pieces, cut out the seed box and peduncle from each, if desired, remove the thin skin (I left). Cut the flesh into a rather small cube.

We chop the peeled walnuts with a knife so that we get small pieces. If you want, you can pre-fry the nuts in a dry frying pan — thanks to this technique they will be crispy and fragrant.

We shift in the bowl all the prepared products: carrots, apples, oranges (can be cut into smaller pieces), walnuts. There we put the seedless raisins (if you find yourself too dry, steam it with boiling water for 5-7 minutes, then drain the water).

Pour over the salad with an aromatic dressing, mix.
Serve immediately after cooking, sprinkle each portion with a pinch of cinnamon and garnish with a slice of orange.
